I was excited to be asked by Chris Page, founder of the charity Cards from Africa, to design their new logo. Cards from Africa are a charity providing employment for people in Rwanda and producing beautiful, handmade gift cards.
After much sketching I came up with a concept the represents that the shape of Africa itself in the form of a card being opened. I framed this in negative space within a love heart. The lettering has a hand-cut feel to it, complementing the distinctive way their cards are produced.
This logo design was featured in Design Rush’s Best Logo Designs of 2023.
