I recently designed a poster and event programme for the Cambridge University Botanic Garden (well worth a visit if you haven’t been!). There are so many amazing colours and textures in nature, so using close-up imagery of plants (and in this case apples!) is often all that’s needed to create eye-catching visuals. I’ve used simple apple shapes to help differentiate content areas as a backdrop to the photography itself, which also helps the imagery pop.
